CURRICULUM VITAE

Yale Roe was born in Oak Park, Il. in 1929. He received his B.S. in Journalism and M.A. in International Relations from Northwestern University. From 1950-1965 he was a writer, producer and executive at ABC Television stations in Chicago, San Francisco and New York, and at the ABC-TV network. From 1965-1972 he was Vice-President of Harriscope Broadcasting Corp. and general manager of WSNS-TV, Chicago. He has been president of Yale Roe Films in Jerusalem and New York since 1972.

Roe's award-winning films and video documentaries have been seen on ABC, PBS, A&E and overseas TV stations. His films have been distributed around the world in up to eight languages and include the participation of the political and military figures of the generation that built Israel, as well as TV and motion picture stars such as Kirk Douglas, Danny Kaye, Liv Ullmann and Tony Randall.

Roe's film, Israel, the Dream at 40, was reviewed in the New York Times as "brilliantly written, directed and produced." He is the author of two previously published books, The Television Dilemma and The Business of Broadcasting. He has also written for the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times. Roe has been deeply involved in Israeli affairs since 1972 and today has ten Israeli grandchildren.
